The FinTech Report Podcast produces AI generated ‘interview’ for Commonwealth Bank and AMP Bank annual results

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in finance is a hot topic, and fintechs are creating many use cases from customer chatbots to identification verification, income verification, AML and fraud monitoring.

But what about corporate communications?  The FinTech Report Podcast decided to test a new Google AI service to create content around ASX listed announcements.

The FinTech Report produced two 10 minute podcasts using #AI to analyze two ASX listed companies – The Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s (ASX: CBA) half yearly results (to 31/12/24), and AMP’s (ASX: AMP) annual report (2024); for both podcasts, an AI platform was to summarize each report, and an AI platform to create the ‘interview podcast’ audio/content.

AI produced podcasts will upend Corporate communications (especially Investor Relations and Public Relations), as well as Government Comms.

The FinTech Report used NotebookLM (Google NotebookLM) which is a research and note-taking online tool developed by Google Labs that uses artificial intelligence (AI), specifically Google Gemini, to assist users in interacting with their documents.
