Australian fintech Slyp introduces its AI-powered all-in-one loyalty platform Go Rewards

Australian loyalty and digital receipts fintech Slyp have announced the launch of Go Rewards – a new Artificial Intelligence-powered mobile app and home for reward programs for consumers and an all-in-one loyalty solution for retailers.

GoRewards provides retailers with access to quality, first-party data that can be used to know and grow their customers more effectively. The flexible loyalty solution allows retailers to design their own program based on their bespoke needs and enables real-time personalised offers at a SKU or category level to build stronger individual customer relationships. This also provides retailers with the opportunity to capitalise on retail media with their suppliers. Other benefits include access to member only pricing, allowing retailers to reward loyalty customers with better rewards; and the opportunity to provide digital receipts, opening up a new marketing channel.

For consumers, Go Rewards is free and easy-to-use mobile app where they have access to multiple loyalty programs in one place. Consumers can simply switch on the loyalty programs they love to leverage all the benefits of that program, and access their digital loyalty cards and receipts in a secure and convenient app.

Slyp Co-Founder and CEO Paul Weingarth believes the launch of Go Rewards has the potential to transform the retail landscape, stating, “Our goal is to help retailers connect more meaningfully with their customers through personalised and seamless experiences.

“In today’s market, first-party customer relationships, or understanding who your customer is and their buying patterns, is a real game-changer. As we are in the infancy of the AI revolution, this knowledge isn’t just a ‘nice-to-have’ – it’s a significant competitive advantage.”

 Levelling the playing field

Supabarn, the supermarket chain operating out of NSW and ACT launched Go Rewards as a pilot in August 2024, to evolve its existing loyalty program. The new Supa Rewards program is a points-based system that rewards customers with Supabarn vouchers for achieving point milestones. With features including personalised point-boosters, 10 x bonus point shopping days and the launch of new MemberBonus products, Supabarn now offers a valuable, real-time rewards program in the market.

“This is exactly the type of solution that we in the industry have been crying out for,” said Theo Koundouris, Founder and CEO of Supabarn. “Australians are hunting for better value on their grocery shopping as the cost-of-living pressures continue to mount and this can only be achieved by providing them with more seamless experiences and better value.”

Within six weeks of launch, Supabarn has already seen an increase in their loyalty tag rate by more than 40% and increased loyalty share of revenue by more than 50%. With more compelling and personalised offers, Supa Rewards members are now spending62% more per shop than non-loyalty members.

“The success we’ve seen in only six weeks is testament to the new Supa Rewards program offerings executed within the Go Rewards platform. Our new program rewards customers with a $10 Supabarn voucher after earning only 1,000 points, half as many as other leading supermarkets. While it’s great to see basket spend increase among our Supa Rewards members, it’s great to know that they’re being rewarded for their shopping with us to ultimately help them make savings on future shops,” said Koundouris.
