Lendi Group shares bold vision for the future of Aussie business

At a packed broker conference at Sydney’s ICC, Lendi Group CEO and Co-Founder David Hyman (pictured) has shared the company’s bold new vision to transform Aussie from a linear mortgage broking business into a fully integrated property ecosystem supporting Australians to Find, Buy, and Own property.

The vision for Aussie’s future centres its core broking business around an unprecedented range of new products and services that position the brand at every touchpoint in the customer’s property journey and capture the full value of the market.

“From today, Aussie is more than a mortgage broker. We’re unlocking new possibilities for Australians to Find, Buy, and Own property, with Aussie by their side at every step.

“By combining the strength of our broker network, trusted brand, and cutting-edge technology, we’re delivering what’s been missing – a truly buyer-centric experience at transformational scale,” said Hyman.

The step-change comes more than 30 years after Aussie was first credited with bringing competition to the home loan sector, and as critical market factors converge.

“Amid a housing affordability crisis, more Australians than ever before are turning to brokers for trusted advice. Now, AI, data and technology allow us to deliver more for customers. We are at the forefront of a major shift,” Hyman said.

Aussie’s new AI-driven ecosystem is designed to simplify the home buying and ownership process, addressing the complexity that customers face today.

“If you think about the current landscape, the experience from starting your property search through to conveyancing, settlement and beyond – it’s not a simple journey. Customers get bounced between service providers, re-entering the same information, filling out duplicate forms, and dealing with unnecessary complexity. Our Find, Buy and Own journey is fully integrated, and enhanced with AI,” said Hyman.

‘Find’ services focus on helping buyers understand what’s possible early on with guidance from Aussie Brokers, making informed decisions, and finding the right property with expert guidance. It incorporates Aussie Buyer’s Agents, property and listings under Aussie Homes and Aussie for Agents.

  • Aussie Homes: A new data-led search platform integrated into the Aussie App, Aussie Homes puts 11 million+ properties, including pre-market listings, at customers’ fingertips and simplifies their property search. Customers can access free property reports, suburb profiles, and insights, as well as digital tools that drive valuable conversations with Aussie brokers. Real Estate Agents will also be able to connect their listings to Aussie Homes.
  • Aussie Buyer’s Agents: With a bold ambition to operate the country’s largest buyer’s agent service, Aussie’s Buyer’s Agents help customers to find and secure the right property – whether it’s a first home or an investment. Backed by advanced data, exclusive off market deals and expert negotiation, Aussie Buyer’s Agents are on the buyer’s side through every step.

Aussie has expanded its ecosystem of services to support smarter buying. This incorporates existing financing, lending, and insurance through Aussie Brokers; buy-side conveyancing; and Aussie for Agents. A bridging loan solution (coming soon) will enable customers to buy before they sell. In addition, a data collaboration with PEXA offers brokers an end-to-end view of application statuses, reducing lender costs and improving efficiency.

  • Aussie Conveyancing: Aussie Conveyancing addresses a major pain point in the home buying journey by integrating conveyancing into the broking process, with real-time visibility and tracking for customers. Now a national proposition, Aussie Conveyancing will expand to include ‘sell-side’ conveyancing for customers (e.g. downsizers, upgraders).
  • Aussie for Agents: A two-way platform to refer and connect Aussie customers who need to sell their property with top local agents that match their needs, and a destination for agents to win and launch more high-value property listings, whether pre-market, off-market or on-market. Aussie for Agents adds value for Aussie brokers and creates a more seamless experience from sell to buy.

‘Own’ supports homeowners to stay in control of their mortgage and manage their investment, as well as unlocking new opportunities for their future. This incorporates renovating, buying their next property, or selling – with products such as Live Equity, Seller Assist and sell-side Conveyancing available.

  • Live Equity with Open Banking: The latest addition to the Aussie App lays the groundwork for a fully transparent two-way mortgage monitor for brokers and their customers. Today, Live Equity provides the ability for all homeowners in Australia to track their home, loan and equity position so they are always informed on their next steps in their property journey. The first broking business to use Open Banking at this scale, Live Equity enhances customer experience as LVR, equity or rate changes present new opportunities. The next release will be an “always on” financial health tracker” – a first for Australia.
  • Seller Assist: When customers express an interest in selling, with Seller Assist, brokers can now offer a free comparison service connecting the customer with agents to match their needs. These leads are then distributed to the selected agents via the Aussie for Agents platform, allowing for direct agent-customer interactions for property appraisals.

“We are uniquely positioned to champion the customer and we’re doing it at the perfect time. We’re home to two of Australia’s top four brokerages, we have the most advanced digital platform, and we’re more laser-focused on the buyer that we have ever been. That’s a trifecta no one else can match,” added Hyman.

As part of the evolution for Aussie, stores will evolve from a linear broking experience to a destination concept for Australians to Find, Buy and Own property. These Property Hubs will integrate core mortgage broker expertise with Aussie Buyer’s Agents and Conveyancing through to finding the right real estate agent, all powered by our market-leading digital platform.

Lendi Group expects to see double digit growth in broker headcount across all channels in 2025, further entrenching Aussie as the country’s top retail broker.
